Li ShouqianLi Shouqian


Academician Li Shouqian, born in May 1967, is a fellow of the World Academy of Productivity Science and holds a PhD. She serves as the chairman of Guizhou Jinqian Fruit Biotechnology Co., Ltd. She is a representative inheritor of the "Traditional Fermented Yi Medicine," listed in Guizhou Province's Intangible Cultural Heritage, and a visiting professor at the International Traditional Medicine Exchange University. She is also the vice-chairman of the Bi Jie City Federation of Industry and Commerce, a member of the Bi Jie City Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), an expert in ancient Yi astronomical medicine, the vice-president of the Guizhou Yi Studies Association, the vice-chairman of the Yi Medicine and Pharmacy Committee of the China Association of Traditional Ethnic Medicine, and a member of the Standards Drafting Group Expert Committee of the China International Science and Technology Promotion Association.

She has received the "World Traditional Medicine Outstanding Contribution Award" from the World Committee for the Protection and Development of Traditional Medicine and the International Traditional Medicine Exchange University, and the "Belt and Road" Health Ambassador Honor. She has won two first-place awards in the Chinese Association of Traditional Ethnic Medicine Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2019 and 2023. The project "Research on Anti-Pulmonary Fibrosis Activity and Mechanism of Traditional Fermented Yi Medicine - Jieben Fermentation Liquid" she undertook won a first-place national key research achievement award under the National Health Commission's 14th Five-Year Plan. She led the project "Research, Development, and Demonstration of Prickly Pear Functional Fermentation Liquid Based on Traditional Fermented Yi Medicine Fermentation Technology and Its Anti-COVID-19 Activity," which was approved by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology. She holds two national Class I anti-cancer innovative drug patents, eight health food invention patents, three anti-COVID-19 application patents, two U.S. authorized invention patents, and one Russian authorized invention patent.

Academician Li Shouqian, organizing experts and leading a research team, has deeply explored and innovated traditional Yi fermentation techniques based on the Yi family's medical classics and modern dietary health needs. She developed more than ten types of "Jieben Liquid" products, which have been scientifically verified by authoritative research teams such as the China Food Fermentation Industry Research Institute to be effective in regulating human health, delaying aging, and inhibiting cancer cells. She founded Guizhou Jinqian Fruit Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and actively participated in poverty alleviation efforts, earning recognition as an outstanding agricultural enterprise, a leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization, and a poverty alleviation loving enterprise in Qixingguan District, Guizhou Province.
